Our Objectives
Eradicate Hunger:
Provide consistent, nutritious meals to children aged 5-15 in elementary and primary schools within slum and underprivileged communities in Liberia, West Africa. ​
Improve School Attendance:
Increase school attendance rates by ensuring children receive daily meals, which motivate them to attend and stay in school. Enhance Academic Performance: Support children's learning and classroom performance by alleviating hunger, allowing them to focus and engage more effectively in their education.
Promote Health and Well-being:
Improve children's overall health and nutritional status by providing balanced meals, contributing to their physical and mental development.
Raise Awareness:
Advocate for the importance of child nutrition and education in underprivileged areas, highlighting the impact of hunger on educational outcomes and community development.
Foster Community Involvement:
To ensure long-term success and community ownership, engage local communities, parents, and stakeholders in supporting and sustaining the school feeding programs.

Mrs. Eyvonne Watts
Founder and Board Chair
Empowering Lives Through Passionate Hands Give Back.
Born in the resilient nation of Liberia, West Africa, Eyvonne WATTS emerged from a backdrop of adversity, having witnessed her homeland endure a tumultuous 14-year war. Amid hardship, she discovered a profound calling to bring positive change to the lives of the underprivileged. Fueled by her compassion and a burning desire to uplift her community, Eyvonne embarked on a mission to create a tangible impact.
In pursuit of her altruistic vision, Eyvonne founded the non-profit organization "Passionate Hands Give Back Inc." With a heart dedicated to spreading joy and prosperity, she is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty that has gripped Liberia for far too long. Her NGO serves as a beacon of hope, aiming to improve the quality of life for those who have faced the harshest realities of war and poverty.
Eyvonne's short-term goal is a testament to her pragmatic approach to social change. She envisions establishing a Feeding Center, a place where the impoverished can find solace in nourishing meals at least twice a week. This initiative reflects her understanding of the immediate needs of the community, acknowledging that sustained progress often begins with addressing basic necessities.
Looking beyond the present, Eyvonne's long-term ambition is to expand the Feeding Center's operations across Liberia by providing daily sustenance, ensuring that nobody in her community and across Liberia goes hungry. She is acutely aware that the frequency of assistance is crucial, and her commitment extends as far as the availability of funds allows. Eyvonne envisions a future where her NGO, Passionate Hands Give Back Inc., becomes a cornerstone in the fight against poverty, a testament to the resilience and unity of the Liberian people.

Mrs. Mechainmar Zokruah-Blama
Co-Founder & Secretary General
Mrs. Mechainmar Zokruah-Blama is a co-founder and board secretary of Passionate Hands Give Back Inc. She is happily married to her wonderful husband, Mawoloyan Blama, and they are blessed with five beautiful children. At the age of 13, Mrs. Zokruah-Blama immigrated to the United States from Liberia. She is a nurse and phlebotomist and currently works at Ohiohealth Riverside Hospital.
Mrs. Zokruah-Blama's parents are both of Liberian descent. Her mother is from Grand Bassa, while her father hails from Bong County and currently resides in the United States. Despite the distance between her and her parents, Mrs. Zokruah-Blama remains grounded in her cultural heritage and values.
Through her work at Passionate Hands Give Back Inc., she is able to give back to her community both in the United States and Liberia. Mrs. Zokruah-Blama is an inspiration to those around her and a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and compassion.
Mr. Nahounou Rufus SCOTT
Board Member
Based in Liberia, Nahounou Rufus SCOTT is a distinguished Petroleum Geoscientist, esteemed CEO and devoted family man. With extensive expertise in the OIL & Gas industry, he holds the position of CEO at PRO GROUP, a prominent company in the petroleum industry and solid waste management sector. Additionally, Rufus plays a crucial role at the Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority (LPRA) as a Petroleum Geologist, contributing to the sustainable management of the nation's petroleum resources.
Married and dedicated to family life, Rufus is a loving husband and proud father of three children. His commitment to both his professional and personal life demonstrates a balance of leadership, responsibility and genuine care for those closest to him.
Recognized for his philanthropic spirit, Rufus passionately engages in community outreach, actively contributing to the betterment of the community he is part of. His commitment extends to empowering women & youth in Liberia, emphasizing inclusivity and equality through various initiatives, including supporting local programs, education initiatives and community development projects.
As a fervent advocate for women & youth empowerment, Rufus recognizes the transformative power of education and mentorship. He actively supports initiatives that provide education, vocational training & mentorship to women and youth, enabling them to pursue their goals and contribute meaningfully to society. Through these efforts, he seeks to break down barriers and create a more inclusive and equitable environment for women and youth in both the professional and community spheres, shaping the next generation of leaders and professionals in Liberia.
By championing the causes, Rufus exemplifies leadership that extends beyond traditional professional boundaries, demonstrating a genuine dedication to creation positive change at the individual and community level. He stands as a role model not only for his accomplishment in the petroleum industry but also for his commitment to family values and his impactful contribution to the broader community, earning his respect in Liberia and beyond.
Mr. Samuel Daveed Jefferson
General Director of Operation
Samuel Daveed Jefferson is a dynamic individual with a rich and diverse background. Born in Monrovia, Liberia, to a US father, Samuel's educational journey began in Liberia, where he attended schools such as AGM Caldwell Rd, Sims Community in Caldwell, New Kru Town Junior High, and Tubman High School before the onset of the war. In 1990, he migrated to the USA, where he continued his high school education at Linden McKinley in Columbus, Ohio. He furthered his studies at The Ohio State University, graduating in 1993 with a BS in Industrial Technology Education, focusing on Construction Technology.
Throughout his career, Samuel has exhibited a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. He joined the United States Marines in 1995, where he received specialized training in various areas, including troop leadership, terrorism assessment, and business management. Concurrently, he pursued his degree at The Ohio State University, showcasing his dedication and multitasking abilities.
Samuel's professional journey has been marked by notable roles, including serving as an Assistant Superintendent for M/I Homes, an Engineering Tech, and Project Tech for CTL Engineering, and eventually establishing himself as a Construction owner and General Project Manager. His entrepreneurial spirit has led him to co-found Amazing Health Services, LLC, demonstrating his versatility and entrepreneurial acumen.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Samuel is deeply involved in his community. He has been a board member of seven non-profit organizations and has held various leadership positions within the church, including Youth Leader, Youth Minister, and Assistant Pastor. He has also been actively involved in youth leadership training, evangelistic ministry, and community service, such as volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and coaching soccer teams.
As President of Liberians in Columbus, Inc (LICI), Samuel spearheaded initiatives that transformed the organization into a recognized 501C3 entity. His leadership accomplishments include registering the organization for 501C3 status, creating a database of services offered by the Liberian community, and organizing impactful community events such as the first Mass Community Toy 4 Tots giveaway. Samuel's leadership and dedication have left a lasting impact on his community, making him a respected figure and a driving force for positive change.
Mr. Roosevelt A.K Woods
Board Member
Mr. Roosevelt A.K. Woods is a Liberian, a human rights activist with impeccable character who has worked within the NGO sector for more than 15 years. Borne unto the unto the union of Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Kofi Woods in the Township of Caldwell, Mr. Woods is currently a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Public Procurement and Concession Commission (PPCC) of the Republic of Liberia. As commissioner of the PPCC, Mr. Woods works alongside with other commissioners to provide strategic leadership and oversight over the commission. Prior to his appointment as Commissioner, Mr. Woods served as the Executive Director of the of the Foundation for International Dignity (FIND), a pro-democracy and Human Rights Organization working in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea since 2002. He worked in this capacity from February, 2008 to December 2018until his transition into government.
Mr. Woods holds a MPA degree in Public Administration with specialization in public Sector Management from the Cuttington University Post Graduate Program in Liberia. He also has a B.A Degree in Mass Communication, specializing in Radio & television production, IT Technology from the Bayero University, Kano, Federal Republic of Nigeria. Mr. Woods brings on board wealth of experience in NOGs dynamics, management and transformation.
Mrs. Almaz Ware
Board Member
Almaz Ware was born in Monrovia, Liberia and she now resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. Almaz is a Human Resources professional with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in industrial – organizational psychology. She has supported clients in multiple industries including not-for-profit, service, construction, staffing, travel, and aerospace. Almaz is driven by encouraging people to reach their fullest potential and helping them find the light within. She has proven success in problem solving, scaling projects, and acquiring/developing the best and brightest talent to reach organizational goals. Almaz puts God at the center of her life and is actively involved in her Church and community. She is happily married to her husband and a proud mother of three sons.

Mrs. Whitney Dixon
Whitney Dixon, owner of the multimedia company Pixxel Designs, is a professional photographer and graphic designer residing in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born in Banjul, The Gambia, her education in various countries, states, and cities has opened her eyes to the world's beauty and struggles. With a passion for people and storytelling, her work visually conveys the goals and dreams of local, national, and international companies, organizations, non-profits, foundations, artists, and universities. As a member of Passionate Hands Give Back, Whitney is reminded that her passion is directed towards helping those in need and that the world needs people to focus on uplifting others rather than solely profiting.
Mr. Elton Dunn Yoko
Country Director/Liberia
Elton Dunn Yoko is the Country Director at Passionate Hands Give Back Inc., where he oversees the organization's day-to-day operations in Liberia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Project Management from Starz University and an advanced Diploma in Civil Leadership from the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI-RLC) cohort 5 in Nigeria. Elton also represented Liberia as a Talent at the UNLEASH Innovation Lab in Rwanda, showcasing his commitment to social change and development.
With over five years of experience in program and project management and organizational leadership, Elton has made significant strides in social impact and advocacy. His dedication to sustainable development and community empowerment earned him the prestigious Youth SDG Champion Award in 2022, specifically recognizing his contributions to health and gender equality (SDG Goals 3 and 5).
